The powerful 3-stage system is designed with Brondell’s patented Nanotrap technology that is extremely effective in removing harmful impurities and particles in your water source. These 3 stages of filtration will reduce the amount of chlorine smell and taste, pesticides, industrial chemicals, microorganisms, volatile organic compounds and several impurities that cause your water to be less than satisfactory. This system does not remove fluoride like some of the other countertop units that I’ve reviewed.
The Brondell H20+ is designed to look sleek and sexy on your countertop and not to look like something that is out of place like several other countertop water filters. It is also designed to be compact and space saving, freeing up more counter space for cooking and appliances. The Installation process on the Brondell H2O+ is very easy and allows for a simple DIY procedure that anyone will be able to accomplish in just a few minutes time. It is also compatible with nearly 99% of all standard kitchen faucets with the exception of pullout handheld faucets. Filtering stage 1 and 2 in the H2O+ are good for up to 12months of use and the Stage 3 carbon filter is good for up to 6 months of use. Once this time is up, Brondell provides an easy filter change. I’d recommend the Brondell H2O+ if you’re looking for a sleek, hassle free countertop water filtration unit.

The countertop purification and filtration system from Zen Water System is definitely a unique experience as it is a little different than your typical countertop filter solution. Zen Water Systems incorporates a cool 5 step filtering and purification system that allows you to actually see your water flow through the filter. The first of these 5 systems include a micro-ceramic filter dome that traps sediment, dirt, debris, voc’s, bacteria, and anything else larger than .5 microns. The second stage consists of granulated activated carbon that removes undesirable chlorine smell and taste, solvents, chloramines and several other man-made chemicals. The third stage is an ionic exchange resin that softens and purifies your water by removing toxins and metals. Then, your water is exposed to ionizing far infrared balls that activate the water molecules in your human blood cells. The 5th-7th steps in the process neutralize acid elements, enhance micronutrient elements and infuse essential minerals.
The Zen Water Systems countertop filtration and purification system comes in a few different sizes; four, six, and eight gallons. Unlike many of the other countertop filtration units I’ve reviewed, this system does take up quite a bit of counter space. However, there is no installation require with these units, which can definitely be a plus for some! These units will filter your water for up to 6 months or 500 gallons whichever comes first. I’d recommend the Zen Water Systems purification and filtration system if you’re looking for zero installation and a unique filtering experience.
Watts 500315
Watts is one of the major brands when it comes to water filtration. They make a vast number of products in all types, shapes and sizes that always receive great reviews from all across the board. Their countertop filter is no exception. Their design is an all in one, easy to install unit that users rave to be extremely simple and easy to operate. This will dramatically reduce the amount of chlorine smell and taste, rust, sediment, sand, silt and several other impurities and contaminants that are often found your water source. Once your ordinary tap water runs through the Watts counter-top drinking water filter you will notice a huge difference in the quality and taste in your water and wonder how you went without it for so long.
The Watts counter-top system is extremely small and compact, only requiring just a few inches of counter or sink space to function leaving you plenty of valuable counter space. Since this unit is compact, it makes it perfect for long trips in your RV or camper where your water source may be far less than acceptable. The NSF certified coconut-shell carbon block filter can last up to 6 months or 2,500 gallons of water. The installation on the 500315 is similar to that of many other countertop filtration units. Simply unscrew the aerator on you current faucet and replace it with the one provided. I would suggest this unit if you’re looking for simple, easy to use countertop filtration system from a trusted reliable brand.
WaterChef C7000
The C7000 from WaterChef is not your average countertop water filtration system and you can probably tell just from the way it looks! Like the Brondell H2O+ I reviewed above, the C7000 is designed to look stylish and blend right into your kitchens scenery and not attract negative attention. The C7000 is not all looks; it also is built to perform. WaterChef ‘s big block filtration technology dramatically reduces the amount of chlorine odor and taste, lead, pesticides, volatile organic compounds and several more. The carbon block filter leaves beneficial things like calcium, magnesium, potassium an fluoride.
WaterChef has decided to eliminate the guesswork of when to change the filter by incorporating an intelligent monitor. The battery-powered monitor’s LED indicators will let you know how your filter is doing and when it comes time to replace you’ll notice a red LED light up. Paragon makes several different types of water filtration systems. Some of these products include shower filters, under sink systems, drinking faucets, inline filters and what we are going to look at now, countertop filters. Paragon’s countertop filter is a ultra high capacity NSF certified, five stage filtration system. When I say high capacity, I mean it! The Paragon P3060 can filter an amazing 25,000 gallons of water, which is significantly more than any other filter I’ve reviewed. This makes it makes it one of the longest lasting water filters available for residential water. Just because this unit has a long filter life does not mean it is any less when it comes to filtering power. The P3060 removes 98% of chlorine smell and taste, volatile organic compounds, lead and tons more.
Since this unit is completely maintenance free and has a 10-year filter life, there is no need to ever replace the filter. So, once you perform the easy installation of this unit, it is completely out of site and out of mind! This is definitely one of my favorite units that I’ve reviewed. I’d recommend the Paragon P3060 if you’re looking a completely maintenance free water filtration system with an extremely long filter life, this is the one for you.

Our Recommendation – Here’s What We Think
With so many filtering options out there for fresh healthy water there is no excuse to not have a filtering system of some type. The countertop systems are one of the easier ways to greatly improve your water source without having to do any plumbing or intense modifications to existing water lines. I would recommend just taking the step and purchasing one of these great water filtration systems, you will not regret it. If you’re having trouble choosing the best fit for you, I would suggest the Paragon P3060 as it has the longest lasting filter and takes up minimal space.
